Here is my 1971 Charger R/T. I've had her since 1989 and she's been
a real great car. The '71 was my daily driver for about 3 years until I
purchased a 1979 Lil' Red Express truck. I found the car sitting under
a tree next to a house's driveway, in which, the guy's boat was in the
garage!!! Luckily, the car's from California and I found it in Central
Texas, all dry environments. The car sports it's original paint and
interior. The drivetrain is all original. The only thing I've changed
on it, other than the normal wear and tear items is the vinyl top, it was
pretty dry and hard from the Cali. and Texas Sun. The story behind this car I
got from the original owner who I bought it from, was that the car was a
touring dealer demo. The car is coded as such, a dealer demo and I can only go
by his words, but the car is highly optioned out, one of the most optioned
out '71 Charger R/T's I've seen in 20+ years of shows and Mopar Nat's.
Exteriorly, you can see some of the options she has: bright exhaust
tips, front and rear spoilers, 15x7 Ralleys, wheel-lip moulding, door
guard moulding, white vinyl top, stripe delete, hood pins and concealed
headlamps.
The interior to the car is original to the car. Options there are
the rim blow steering wheel, six-way seat, PW, PB, PS, a/c with tinted
glass, Ralley Dash, Houndstooth seats, console, am/fm-cassette, pedal-dress
up, rear window defroster, driver's convenience package (low fuel, seat
belts, door open), and headlamp delay.
Items I have added and work perfectly are headlamp washers and rear
window defroster... :) The headlamp washer option is the coolest......
People are always asking what Mercedes Benz got them off of......
Here are a few pictures I've collected over the years........... Hope
they are ok...
